Supporting Families in Sarasota and Manatee Counties for Over 30 Years

 

We provide free essential items, support, and resources to families in need with children under 18, guardians with proof of custody, and individuals who are pregnant.

Families can schedule an appointment (up to 60 days in advance) to become clients and shop at our free store every four months to find essential items for their households. Our store offers gently used clothing for all ages, baby supplies, diapers, formula, shoes, household items, kitchen and bath essentials, toys, books, and seasonal decorations—all at no cost to help families stretch their budgets.

Note: Baby-related items are ONLY given out 60 days before a clients due date. Appointments fill up quickly, so be sure to book in advance.

 

Clients also benefit from additional services through our MHM CARES program, which provides coaching to help families move from surviving to thriving. Other offerings include group support in our Coffee Connections Lounge, special events such as Toy Day, Computers for Kids initiative, and crisis financial aid, along with many other resources.
