Mothers Helping Mothers
An All Volunteer Not-for-Profit Organization
Since 1990, Mothers Helping Mothers, Inc., an all volunteer not-for-profit organization, has been providing basic necessities such as clothing and baby items FREE OF CHARGE to families in need in the Sarasota and surrounding counties. All items are donated or purchased through grant funding or private contributions and are provided free of charge to our clients. Additionally, we offer emotional support and referrals to other agencies in the surrounding area. Mothers Helping Mothers has no paid employees; we have run on the spirit and energy of those that graciously volunteer for more than twenty seven years!
Through our storefront location in Sarasota, we help over 2,285 families in a single year. These families represent more than 4,833 children, and our numbers continue to grow. We exist because of the generosity of this community and our wish is to be able to continue bringing dignity and support to families in need for as long as there is need.
